Apologies for the long silence. On a personal level, the last few months have been rather traumatic but we are gradually getting back to normal.

On 30th June we will be announcing the winners and short-listed entries from our Patrician Press writing competition. There will be twelve short-listed entries in all: six poems and six short stories.

All twelve will be featured in our Patrician Press Anthology to be published early next year.  Contributions from other writers will also be included. Here is the cover taken from a lino-cut by Tim Roberts:

On 1st July, starting 3pm, we will be participating in the Harwich Festival of the Spoken Word. Mark Brayley, Martin Johnson, Emma Kittle-Pey and Philip Terry will be giving readings. The event will be held at the Swan House Gallery in King’s Head Street, Harwich. Tickets can be purchased from:
