The everyday life and diary of a food lover describing the enjoyment of simple meals and wine.  It is mainly set in Emilia Romagna in Italy but there is some background information about the author’s food-dominated childhood in London. The book contains recipes and illustrations. Although there is a strong Italian influence, many of the recipes are cosmopolitan in flavour and use fresh and seasonal produce.
