As usual, it’s been a busy few months and our last event for the summer was on Saturday 24 June at the Albion Beatnik Bookstore in Walton Street, Oxford. Coincidentally, a street that I know well as my sister-in-law and brother-in-law used to live there. In fact the day turned into a family reunion for my husband, Charlie Johnson, as we met up with three of his siblings for lunch, then they and their partners kindly supported our event at the bookshop.

There were readings from our Refugees and Peacekeepers Anthology by:

Wersha Bharadwa
Mark Brayley
Catherine Coldstream
Priya Guns
Emma Kittle-Pey
and the introduction was made by Anna Johnson, editor of the anthology.

Many thanks to all of them for making the event so inspiring and successful. Here are some of the comments we received:

“Performances were outstanding”
“Best readings I’ve ever heard”
“Fabulous evening and the readings were extraordinarily good”
“How wonderful an event it was!”
“Very interesting evening”
“The evening was really good”

And here are some pics. Thanks so much to Wersha for taking the original photos and many apologies for their reduced quality as I encountered a technical hitch!
